Do you mean like your nano patch etc? Although I don't use nano I am

I'm still using it as my external editor (including this message) for multiple applications to this day! Now that I look back, I'm actually kind of surprised it didn't have the proper softwrapping before I said anything about it.

    Appanrently I live for that.

    So I've noticed!

You'll probably become a minion to AI. ;-)

Doubtful. I'm not a programmer by any means, and I don't work in the industry that is pretty much forcing their employees to use it. I think I've cursed at AI more than I've actually gotten anything done successfully with it, besides getting more specific with search engines. *shrug*

I think you woke them up. I haven't checked lately but wasn't it sponsored by the U of Washington? If I am not mistaken they were using it as the default editor for alpine, formerly pine, which was an email client thingy they came up with way back when, except the editor was called pico. nano was the replacement for that for reasons that escape me. I recall using pine back in my solaris daze. That was a long, long time ago in a land far, far away.

What employees? I doubt there are any real human employees ... or at least anymore. Elon took a chainsaw to them from what I've heard.

Back in my heyday it was known as neural networking. Nothing really intellegent about it that I ever saw. Still isn't methinks, despite the 'I' in 'AI'.

I doubt that. Nano has been in constant development (version 9.2 currently) since your description below..

There are still plenty of "programmers" employed everywhere, however.. in order to make them produce as a much faster rate, they are basically being forced to use AI. Will they some day be called "AI auditors" since they're not the ones actually writing the code?

I refer to "I Think We're All Bozos On This Bus" (Firesign Theatre) who at some point claim, "understanding today's complex world of the future is a little like having bees live in your head." If you haven't heard it yet I highly recommend giving it a listen. You won't be sorry despite it taking 40-ish minutes out of your life.
